WAQ`IAH, from Plainfield, New Jersey can do it all; she can sing, rap, song write, dance, act & play the guitar. Her soulful melodic authentic sound along with her all female band will captivate you instantly. WAQIAH’s smooth and funky vocals can be found over jazzy, soulful, and hip-hop rhythms. Graduating from Rowan University she obtained a Music Theatre degree. Her live performances, and creative studio productions are the main staples that set her apart from all the rest. As a child she would ride around with her father listening to smooth jazz instrumentals, it was then that she began to fall in love with music. Furthermore, her influences have always been likes of India Arie, Jill Scott, Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu, just to name a few.
